RoofToYard explains what exterior home projects cost, in plain English. We cover the outside of the house from top to bottom: roofing, gutters, siding, windows, garage doors, decks, fences, driveways and concrete.
Why we built it
Most cost pages give one national average and move on. A single number doesn’t help much when your quote is thousands of dollars higher. We show a realistic low-to-high range, explain what moves a job toward either end, and build calculators that use your own measurements.
How we work
- We base prices on current published cost data and list our sources on every calculator.
- Every guide shows the date it was last updated.
- Calculators let you replace our numbers with the prices from your own quote.
- Ads pay for the site. Advertisers never decide what we write.

RoofToYard is an independent website run by a small editorial team. We are not a contractor and we don’t install anything, so we have no reason to push one material or company over another.
